Currently the chapter is working on 4 projects, the Byers Mount project, the Truss Tube project, the 12.5" Dobsonian project and restoration of the 12.5" Optical Craftsman scope.  Please see details and updates below.

12.5" Dobsonian Project
 

Introduction

Chapter member Jim Honeycutt donated a 12.5" mirror and secondary with cells in April of 2006.  The chapter is planning to build a Dobsonian scope around the optics.  Larry Owens is having the mirrors recoated and Steve Bieger is designing and building the scope.  Watch for updates on the project here.
