Update 08/02/06 We've picked out a set of truss tube components from MoonLite Telescope Accessories and our Byers truss tube will look something like the scope on the right in the photo from MoonLite below.
The upper and lower cages will be octagonal in shape, connected by 8, 1" black anodized aluminum polls, using 8 double ball socket blocks.
The lower cage will be of a size that will accommodate a Starfinder cell, so we can simply mount our existing 16" mirror with our modified cell into the back of the assembly. More updates soon!
