In the recent Amateur Astronomy Magazine, Charlie Warren, Editor and attendee of last years PSSG, published the following article.
This was the first year that the Peach State Star Gaze, sponsored by the Atlanta Astronomy Club, was hosted at Deerlick Astronomy Village (DAV). DAV owns the physical location where the Star Gaze was held. It was also the first year for PSSG to expand its format from an extended weekend to a full week.
DAV is located about 1.5 hours east of Atlanta conveniently located only about 20 miles off Interstate 20. All roads are paved up to the entrance road (Aaron Grier Rd), which is nicely graded and posed no challenges when navigating it with my 36' motorhome.
The Village has an entry gate with a one-lane entry drive that splits to access either the DAV residents private 2-acre sites or forks right to access the approxi--...............

This years event will open at Noon on Sunday October 11th and continue through to noon Sunday October 18th. Come for all days and nights or come for just one. Meet other professional and amateur astronomers.
