Peach State Star Gaze
The Atlanta Astronomy Club presents the 15th annual Peach State Star Gaze, a week long event from September 28 through October 05. The new Moon will fall on September 29th.

PSSG 2007 A Star Party Journal by Charlie Warren
This was the first year that the Peach State Star Gaze, sponsored by the Atlanta Astronomy Club, was hosted at Deerlick Astronomy Village (DAV). DAV owns the physical location where the Star Gaze was held. It was also the first year for PSSG to expand its format from an extended weekend to a full week.
DAV is located about 1.5 hours east of Atlanta conveniently located only about 20 miles off Interstate 20. All roads are paved up to the entrance road (Aaron Grier Rd), which is nicely graded and posed no challenges when navigating it with my 36' motorhome.
The Village has an entry gate with a one-lane entry drive that splits to access either the DAV residents private 2-acre sites or forks right to access the approxi--...............

This year is the 15th anniversary. The Birthday Party will be held Friday Evening with free Cake and Ice Cream.
The PSSG will be held for the 2nd time at the Deerlick Astronomy Village .
